We aren’t feng shui experts, but we know how to design a room that maximizes and compliments your living space, while giving you that cozy, homy feel.

It all started in the summer of 2005, when we moved in to our brand new home, in the far northern Chicago suburbs.

We started settling in, decorating and filling the empty space. Almost nothing off of the shelves would satisfy our taste or have the desired functionality, so instead we rolled up our sleeves, and started making things ourselves.

Quickly we noticed that our visiting friends and family were amazed with some of our original decorating ideas. Custom window treatments and the master suite furnishings drew the most attention.

Within a short period of time we found ourselves making and installing original window treatments for those who visited us. Custom bedroom sets, small furniture, headboards, lamp shades, bench cushions and countless other original furnishings soon followed...

and that is how the Amber Road Studio began.
